The Time to Act is Now!
There is a new bill being introduced in Washington, D.C., that directly affects our union. The Mechanical Insulation Incentive Act (MIA09/HR 4296), will create tax incentives that will encourage commercial and industrial businesses to improve the insulation on the mechanical systems in their buildings. Recently, Local 12 members received a packet in the mail. Be sure to sign every letter in the packet, give each yellow packet to a different person to sign, then simply mail all of the signed letters to the Local 12 union office right away. There is no cost to you since a self addressed stamped envelope is provided in the packet.
